I was born in the UK, and have worked in London, Barcelona, Madrid, Hong Kong, and Palo Alto, CA. I live in New York City.

Journalism I've written for The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, The Times of London and The Big Issue among many others. I was one of six New Journalists of the Year in the UK in 2001, and have worked on online publications since 1998. I spent two years working as a Senior Editor at The Huffington Post, and recently spent an academic year as a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University, investigating future trends in journalism and technology.

Media coverage My projects have been featured in The Economist, Time magazine, BBC World Service, New York Times, Monocle, The Sunday Times, Boston Globe, Philadelphia Inquirer, The Hindu Times and El PaĆ­s.

Currently I'm in New York City, working as Project Lead on The Coral Project, a Visiting Fellow at the Information Society Project at Yale Law School, and occasionally teaching in the Journalism+Design program at The New School.
